How Our Safari Charges Work
There is a common misconception that working with a specialist safari company simply adds another layer of charges to a journey.
The Malcolm Ainscough Collection operates differently.
For the majority of safari accommodation we arrange, we have established commercial agreements with the property or management company. Our remuneration for these bookings is based on the commission agreed with that partner, rather than simply adding an arbitrary planning percentage to the lodge rate.
This allows our guests to benefit from our knowledge, itinerary design, relationships and support while we work within the established commercial structure of the African safari industry.
Where a journey includes additional services- such as private guiding, private aviation or specially arranged experiences- these carry their own charges and are clearly incorporated into the proposal.
We believe this transparency is important.

With Fully Independent Travel, TMAC still designs and coordinates the complete journey, but guests travel between properties independently and experience each destination with its own guides and teams.
