Highlights from Sabyinyo Silverback Lodge
RWANDA
Our guests arrived in Kigali, Rwanda and were absorbed into the rich culture and friendly people over a delicious welcome dinner, a delve into the history of a nation at the Genocide Memorial, and a local art tour. Next, it was time to travel to Volcanoes National Park; home to half of the world’s entire gorilla population. Sabyinyo Silverback Lodge provided the perfect base for the upcoming adventures, with an inviting ambiance, lush surroundings and close to the National Park- the source of our next adventure, which included a hike to Dianne Fossey’s Research Center and grave site, as well as trekking to find the rare Golden Monkeys and Silverback Gorillas.

Highlights from Serengeti under Canvas
RWANDA
Serengeti under Canvas offers a unique and unforgettable experience that is interwoven into the Great Migration. This safari camp moves with the migrating wildlife, anticipating action-packed areas for guests to immerse themselves in. Our guests were not denied any action; witnessing huge herds of wildebeest on the move, and an intense water crossing that will not soon be forgotten! Encounters also included a cheetah on the hunt, and a hyena enjoying a hearty meal! Our guests also enjoyed traditional songs and dances, as well as an art class, and a festive celebration in front of the Jeep- all hosted by the warm and friendly team at Serengeti under Canvas.

Highlights from Lemala Treetops Tarangire
TANZANIA
The next destination took our guests to the quirky and surprising Treetops Tarangire, a dreamy space set up high within the trees. Truly a place to dream, Treetops Tarangire offers spectacular views of Lake Manyara, Mount Kilimanjaro, and the beautiful Rift Valley wall. Here, with expansive views over the plains, our guests witnessed a lion pride on the hunt- an exhilarating and rare encounter, for sure! Each of our travelers thoroughly enjoyed our sunset drinks break- the closing of a day is a feature of this landscape, and something wondrous to see, and also had an intimate encounter with elephants at the local watering hole!

Highlights from Ngorongoro Tented Camps
TANZANIA
Much of Ngorongoro’s fame is attributed to the crater-rich lands, which attract an abundance of wildlife, and unexpected encounters! Set within an ancient acacia forest close to the rim of the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater, this lodge provides easy access to some of the most celebrated wildlife concentrations. Our guests made their way to one of the most important paleoanthropological sites in the world, Olduvai Gorge. They were also lucky enough to witness an incredible lion sighting within the crater, and enjoyed a lunch within this unspoiled landscape. And what’s an adventure without a vehicle getting stuck in a river?
